The Codex Types: which one are you?
Your birth chart holds 11 points that spread across the four elements: fire, earth, air and water. They come from the sun, the moon, the ascendant and the planets. The element with the most points gives your Codex Type, so there is one type for each element.
When the points spread almost evenly and no element holds more than 3, another type applies: Cartographer.
The Codex Types at a glance
Every type has its own seal, made of the four element triangles, which grow with the points of each element. The examples show a typical distribution.

Element: Earth
You stand firm, others find their bearings by you, and you finish what you start.
Code: 5:1Counterpart: Trailblazer
Nomad
Element: Air
You live on ideas, encounters and movement, and your mind joins what others keep apart.
Code: 5:1Counterpart: Lighthouse
Cartographer
Element: Balanced
All four elements weigh nearly the same in you, so you understand every side and join them into one picture.
Code: 3:2Counterpart: Navigator
What the code tells you
The code is two numbers: the points of your strongest element and of the element with the fewest points, for example 5:1. All 11 points of your chart spread across the four elements, so the code shows at a glance how pronounced your type is. The closer the two numbers, the more balanced your chart.
Your counterpart
Your counterpart is the type of your quietest element. People of this type bring a strength that complements yours, and together you see more.

Frequently asked questions
How is the Codex Type different from my sun sign?✦
Your sun sign looks at a single placement. The Codex Type counts 11 points across the whole chart, the sun, the moon, the ascendant and the planets, and asks which element weighs most. Two people with the same sun sign can have different types.
Does my Codex Type change over time?✦
It is calculated from your birth data, and that never changes. Your type stays with you for life; what changes is how you live it.
What if all my elements weigh almost the same?✦
If no element holds more than 3 of the 11 points, another type applies: Cartographer. It is a type in its own right, the one for people who see every side at once.
What do I need to find my Codex Type?✦
Your date, time and place of birth. The exact time matters because the ascendant is one of the 11 points.
