Cartographers: Balanced Elements Pair Compatibility

Element: Balanced

Two Balanced types are a pair of fairness and understanding: every side is seen, and the bond is calm and flexible.

The two types

What connects you

You understand each other more completely than most pairs. Both of you see every side of a situation, both are fair, and both adapt to what the moment requires. Disagreements are met with curiosity rather than defense. There is little need to defend yourselves, and an unusual ease in being yourselves.

Where it rubs

Nobody decides. Both of you adapt, both weigh, both wait for the other to choose, and the pair drifts. Because each of you serves the other's wish, nobody states their own, and a quiet fatigue builds. The relationship can be pleasant and still not know what it wants.

How you argue and make up

Open conflict hardly ever happens between you. You each understand the other's position so well that the quarrel dissolves before it has a point. What remains is the unspoken. Take turns: one week, one of you decides everything that is open, and says clearly what you want. Then reconcile with a decision, not a compromise.

Everyday life together

Daily life is balanced: some days action, some days order, some days company, some days quiet. Name the day's element in the morning, as a pair, and give it room. The rhythm becomes a shared choice instead of an endless adjustment, and the days gain a direction.

Love and closeness

In love you are patient, fair and attentive. Neither controls and neither clings. Intimacy grows when each of you says what you really want, even when it is not convenient. Then the ease you share becomes closeness, and generosity becomes a bond rather than a habit.

Working together

At work you are mediators and planners: projects, strategy, consulting, coordination. You see the whole system and how the parts connect. Appoint a lead for each task, and set deadlines, since neither of you will push. Then your overview turns into results, not endless refinement.

Why the type is more precise than comparing sun signs

A comparison of sun signs sets one placement of each person side by side. A Codex Type is calculated from all 11 points of the chart: the sun, the moon, the ascendant and the planets. The dominant element of the whole chart decides, so the type describes how a person lives and loves day to day, and the pair view rests on that.

Two evenly spread charts cannot be told apart by sun signs; any sun can sit in a balanced chart. Only the type shows what this pair really is.

The Relationship Codex for your pair

The Relationship Codex reads the connection itself, as a third subject next to the two of you. It takes both birth charts, shows where you meet and where you rub, and starts with the strongest real bond between you.

The Relationship Codex shows where two balanced charts give each other direction and where both keep adjusting.
