All astronomical positions are calculated with Swiss Ephemeris — the same library used by professional astrologers, observatories and NASA. It is based on NASA's JPL ephemerides (DE431) and is accurate to the arc-second across several millennia. Numerology, the Mayan Tzolk'in, the Nakshatras and every other system follow the classic, deterministic rules of their tradition. The numbers are facts.

Swiss Ephemeris is an open-source library for calculating astronomical positions — the gold standard for astrological software since the 1990s. It was developed by a Swiss company. The library uses JPL ephemerides (NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory) as its data source — exactly the data used for spaceflight calculations and observatories.

Yes. Birth Codex calculates your Human Design according to the official method of Ra Uru Hu (Jovian Archive): Swiss Ephemeris for the astronomical positions, the design date at precisely 88° of solar arc before your birth, and the true lunar node. All 64 gates are subdivided down to their 6 lines, colors and tones — and your 4 variables follow the official PHS rules. Your type, profile, authority, strategy, centers and incarnation cross therefore correspond to the results of established Human Design calculators.

Your first name, date of birth, the most precise birth time you have, and your place of birth. The more precise the time, the more accurate your ascendant and your Human Design profile — the profile lines sometimes change every 15 minutes. If you don't know your exact birth time, you can still create a reading, but the profile and ascendant may be less reliable.

Check your birth certificate, ask your parents, or contact the registry office of your place of birth — they almost always have the time in the birth register. If you truly can't find it: you can still use Birth Codex. Astrology, numerology, your Human Design type and authority, Gene Keys, Vedic astrology and most other systems work even without an exact time — only the ascendant, HD profile and some Moon-related values become less precise.

Yes — the JPL ephemerides cover roughly 13,000 BCE to 17,000 CE. For any birth date in the last few millennia the calculation is possible with arc-second precision. Even for birth dates in the 1920s, 1930s or earlier, Birth Codex delivers the same accuracy as for modern dates.

Completely individual. Your reading is written for you in real time the moment you click 'Create reading', based on your exact calculation data. No copy-paste from a database, no pre-made paragraphs. Even if two people are born on the same day, their readings differ — because the time and place of birth shift the astrological houses, the ascendant and the HD profile.

After you click 'Create reading' it typically takes 15 to 25 seconds for your reading to appear. While you wait you'll see a loading screen with rotating explanations of what's happening. The calculations themselves (Swiss Ephemeris, numerology, etc.) finish in milliseconds — the time goes into the individual interpretation that Birth Codex writes for you live.

Yes — and personally, not as a one-size-fits-all horoscope. The Retrograde Radar in your reading shows you deterministically (Swiss Ephemeris) whether a planet is currently retrograde through your chart, which house it touches and whether it hits one of your natal points — plus when the next phase begins. So you don't just see 'Mercury retrograde for everyone', but exactly where this energy affects YOUR birth moment. The full interpretation lives in the Transit Analysis of your full reading.

Permanently. Once your full reading is ready, you receive an email with a permanent link to it. This link works indefinitely — you can reopen your reading in a year, in ten years, or any time in between.

Yes. Open your reading in the browser and print it with the browser's print function (Ctrl+P or Cmd+P). The layout is print-friendly — reading sections break cleanly, with no ads and no navigation. If you want a PDF, choose 'Save as PDF' in the print dialog.

Technically yes — you can pass on your permanent reading link. However, your reading is very personal (birth data, an individual interpretation of your cosmic profile), so we recommend caution when sharing. Anyone with the link can see the reading.

Your birth data is processed to create your reading and kept internally for anonymized statistics (no full name, no full IP address, no email link in the statistics database). Full details are in our privacy policy.

Yes — and we want you to feel it. Your birth data and your reading are stored on servers in the EU (Frankfurt), we work in a GDPR-compliant way with European providers (Stripe, Brevo) and have a clear legal basis for every processing activity. We never sell your data — and you can access, correct or delete it at any time.

No. We do not sell data and do not pass any data to third parties for marketing purposes. The only external providers are: Stripe (payment processing), Brevo (transactional emails), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (DNS + CDN), Upstash (database) — all GDPR-compliant and only for technical operation.

A short email to [email protected] requesting deletion is enough. We delete your entry in our internal statistics database, your Telegram history and any other records linked to you without delay (typically within 24–48 hours).

We only collect what your reading needs: first name, date, time and place of birth, plus — if you want your reading by email — your email address. You don't need an account or a sign-up. Payments run through Stripe; we never see card data. We don't sell your data and currently send no newsletter. We keep your finished reading so you can reopen it via your permanent link — but you can request deletion any time by emailing [email protected]. All processing is GDPR-compliant (third-country transfers under EU Standard Contractual Clauses); the full details are in our privacy policy.
