Your type and your sun
- Cartographer
Element: Balanced
All four elements are in balance in you, so you understand every side and join them into one picture.
Aquarius
Element of the sun sign: Air
Who you are with this combination
The sun is independent, inventive and future-minded; no element in the chart is dominant, so you can connect with very different people. You work with the visionary and the skeptic, the artist and the engineer. Your originality is not a pose, it comes from seeing many angles at once.
How sun and type work together
A balanced chart around the sun
The sun reaches for the new, and the level chart keeps you connected to the ordinary. That helps your ideas to land. The soft spot of the sign, detachment, is softened by a chart that also feels, builds and acts. Remember to use all of it when you present a plan.
Love and closeness
You are friendly, open-minded and loyal, and you value freedom within a bond. Because you can relate to many temperaments, you make a flexible partner. Be clear about the amount of closeness you need, and then offer it reliably.
Work and career
Technology, science, design, social innovation, consulting and community work suit you. You bridge groups that normally do not talk to each other. Pick a cause and stay with it long enough to see the results.
Under stress
Under stress the sun steps back and gets abstract. The even chart provides ways back in: a task for the hands, a talk with a friend, time in nature, a quiet evening. Move through them one at a time.
Why the type is more precise than the sign alone
A sun sign is one placement in the chart, and it stands in one of the four elements. Your Codex Type is calculated from all 11 points of the chart: the sun, the moon, the ascendant and the planets. The sun colors the type, and the type shows how much of the whole chart agrees with the sun or answers it.
The sun sign by itself would show you as unusual and a little remote. The type shows the even base of the whole chart, which explains why your unusual ideas can be put to practical use.
The same type with other sun signs
This type shows different sides depending on where the sun stands:
