Lighthouse: The Earth Type
Element: Earth
You stand firm, others find their bearings by you, and you finish what you start.
Earth is the dominant element in your chart, so you stand firm while others look for orientation. People rely on you because you are steady, and you finish what you start.
Strengths
Reliability, patience and a sense for what lasts are your strengths. You build step by step, you keep your word, and you see quality where others see only effort. Your calm gives everyone around you solid ground.
Shadow side
Your shadow side is holding on. You keep routines past their time, take change slowly and carry more than your share because you trust few people to do it right. Growth begins when you try one new path at a time.
Everyday life
Daily life suits you with rhythm, order and tangible results: a good meal, a tidy desk, a plan that holds. Your body speaks clearly, so rest, nature and regular movement keep your steadiness strong.
Your rule for today: Close one open task today before you begin anything new.
Love and relationships
In relationships you are loyal, practical and present. You show love through deeds: you show up, you remember, you build a shared home. Say the tender words out loud as well, because the people you love enjoy hearing what you already feel.
Work and career
At work you excel where quality, planning and follow-through count: building, finance, craft, healthcare, operations. Teams trust you to deliver. You lead best by example, with a plan everyone can see and rely on.
The element of your sun sign vs. your type from the whole chart
Your sun sign stands in one of the four elements, and it is a single placement. Your Codex Type is calculated from all 11 points of the chart: the sun, the moon, the ascendant and the planets. The dominant element decides your type. That is why your sun sign and your Codex Type can belong to different elements, and why two people with the same sun sign can have different types.
If your sun stands in a fire, air or water sign and earth still leads, the moon, the ascendant and the planets bring the ground. The whole chart decides, and your whole chart is rooted.
Your counterpart
The element with the fewest points in your chart decides your counterpart. For this type it is one of these:
- Your counterpart is the Trailblazer: next to people who simply set off, your plans take their first step. Trailblazer
- Your counterpart is the Nomad: next to people who change how you see things, your world grows wider. Nomad
- Your counterpart is the Navigator: next to people who sense what lies beneath the surface, your conversations go deeper. Navigator
The seal and the code
Every type has its own seal, made of the four element triangles, which grow with the points of each element. The seal on this page shows a typical distribution for this type; yours is drawn from your own chart.
The code is two numbers from the calculation: the points of your strongest element and of the element with the fewest points, for example 5:1. All 11 points of your chart go into it, so the code shows at a glance how pronounced your type is. The closer the two numbers, the more balanced your chart.
How your type is calculated
We calculate how strongly fire, earth, air and water work in you, from the sun, the moon, the ascendant and all planets of your birth chart. The dominant element defines your Codex Type. If all four elements are in balance, a type of its own applies.
Each of the 11 points of your chart goes into the calculation with the element of its sign, all with equal weight. If no element holds more than 3 of them, your chart is in balance and this type applies: Cartographer. If several elements tie for the lead, the order sun, moon, ascendant, planets decides.
Your date, time and place of birth. The exact time matters because the ascendant is one of the 11 points.
