Astrocartography projects the positions of your birth planets onto a world map. Instead of asking when a planet acts in your life, it asks: in which place? To do this, it takes your moment of birth and calculates where on Earth each planet was rising, setting, or standing directly overhead at its highest point at the instant you were born.

This produces four line types per planet, drawn across the globe. The MC line shows where a planet stood at its zenith, the IC line the opposite pole, alongside rising and setting lines. Wherever you live or travel on or near such a line, that planet's theme comes noticeably to the fore.

The exact birth time matters: even a few minutes' deviation shifts the lines by hundreds of kilometres. If you don't have the precise time, read the map as a rough region rather than a pinpoint address.

The MC line stands for what becomes visible to the outside world: career, status, public role, the image others form of you. At a place on your MC Sun line, for example, many people find it easier to be seen and to take professional steps. These places suit you when you want to build something or show yourself.

The IC line lies at the other end of the axis and concerns the inner realm: home, family, retreat, the feeling of roots and security. Here it isn't about outward impact, but about the question of where you can settle and recharge.

Both lines belong to the same axis, yet they pull towards opposite areas of life. A place that lifts your career isn't automatically a good place to live. It's worth deliberately separating MC and IC themes rather than searching for one single perfect spot.

A power-place map isn't a command but a tool for self-clarity. It shows tendencies, not guarantees. A place on an energising line won't make you successful, but it can amplify a theme already present within you. You still make the difference.

Take a practical approach: first look at which planetary themes matter for your current phase of life, then check where their lines run. You don't have to emigrate. Even a trip of a few weeks or a focused stay near a line can be enough to feel how a theme plays out there.

Beware of over-idealising: even challenging lines can be valuable, because they touch areas where you grow. The most useful question isn't "Where is my best place?" but "What do I want to use this place for right now?".
