Human Design Mandala (Rave Mandala)

The Rave Mandala, often simply called the Human Design Mandala, is the round depiction of your Human Design makeup. On the outside sits the zodiac wheel with its twelve signs; on an inner ring sit all 64 gates, each at exactly the degree where it is anchored in the zodiac. Each gate matches one of the 64 I Ching hexagrams. This is exactly where it becomes visible that Human Design is woven from the I Ching, astrology and the chakra system.

The gates that are activated in you light up in color: some from your conscious Personality, others from your unconscious Design. The gates that are not activated stay pale. That way you see at a glance where energy flows in your cosmic circle and where spaces stay open.

Where two activated gates form a channel together, a line stretches across the middle of the mandala. These chords are your defined connections, the reliable energies that carry you steadily through life.

The bodygraph is the familiar body graphic with the 9 centers joined by channels. It shows your energetic anatomy, which centers are defined and which are open.

The Rave Mandala takes exactly the same data and lays it in the circle: instead of the body shape you see your 64 gates in the zodiac wheel, each at its astronomical position. The bodygraph answers "how do I work energetically?", the mandala shows "where in the cosmos do I stand?". Both describe the same person, only one view stresses the centers, the other the stellar position of your gates.

The planetary positions of these two moments give the activated gates, some from the birth chart (your conscious Personality), the others from the Design moment (your unconscious foundation).
